The purpose and reason for creating this sonic round was its use in .22 Long Rifle caliber firearms (license-required weapons) and also, of course, in specially constructed pure acoustic firearms such as the Alfa 0220 .22 Long Blanc revolver.

In terms of the noise intensity of the shot, the .22 Long Blanc round falls between the shortest starter round 6 mm Blanc/START and the strongest mass-produced acoustic revolver round 9 mm R Blanc. For those for whom the shot from the 6 mm START round is too weak and, on the contrary, the shot from the 9 mm R Blanc round is too strong, we recommend the Alfa 0220.22 Long Blanc revolver as an ideal acoustic weapon.

This model is often chosen, for example, for dog training, precisely because of the optimal shot intensity and also the option to further reduce it, as it allows the use of the above-mentioned, least loud 6 mm START round as well.
